“These were the test shots made for the body of work in the ‘In Camera’ section. They were shot loosely as experiments on 35mm film with a variety of filters and multiple exposure experiments of fairly mundane suburban architecture and landscapes. MORE THAN ONCE, I got a phone call from the drug stores that processed these rolls of film to tell me there was something wrong with my camera, or they included a “common problems” type note in the envelope. The photos were taken in 2005 in Sacramento, California.

In 2023, I bound them all together as one book. There are a few hundred of them you can see images below of the process of putting them in sequence.

The physicality of so many prints necessarily lands them in a sculptural category, not for the first time this crossover has happened.”
