This project is in one respect, a simple inversion of the traditional gaze. It is also an exploration of the love of darkroom processes from late 19th century and early 20th century but dislocated from that moment in time by capturing domestic architecture and items from the late 20th and early 21st century, ie suburban carpeting, pieces of fabric from JoAnn, a favorite taqueria in San Francisco.

The titles are purposefully opaque, pocked with dry humor. The ones with collage in the title do not actually involve any collage.
